The mission of the Health Education and Promotion Section is to be a strong advocate for public health education and promotion by promoting professional development in order to strengthen public health practice to ensure the health, safety, and quality of life for all Georgians.

The goals are to:

• To educate public health professionals by enhancing their knowledge and skills through the best possible, most up-to-date continuing education opportunities;
• To provide Section members with networking opportunities to stimulate discussion and exchange of ideas aimed at improving the public’s health; and
• To provide Section members with expertise and leadership in the field of health education and promotion to improve the quality of practice in all public health programs and services.
