Nutrition Section

The Nutrition Section serves to contribute to the Georgia Public Health Association vision of Healthy Georgians, living in healthy communities. The Nutrition Section was organized for the purpose of promoting the public and personal health of the citizens of Georgia through contributions to and support of the principles of advocacy, evidence based practice and workforce competence and infrastructure. The Nutrition Section supports, encourages, and recognizes member achievement, innovation, impact, and initiative in the area of nutrition.

The GPHA Nutrition Section was privileged to receive a photo and recognition from Governor Brian Kemp on Registered Dietitian Nutritionist Day, Wednesday March 11th.

The Nutrition Section of Georgia Public Health Association, WIC Nutrition Services of Georgia Department of Public Health, Georgia Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, and The Dietetic Program of Emory Healthcare, were some of the few agencies represented in this photo.
