UPDATE: The deadline to submit abstracts for this conference has been extended until 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 13!
Registration is now open for the first annual Future Leaders Conference to be held at Mercer University in Macon, at the School of Medicine, on April 3, 2009. This one day conference is open to all undergraduate or graduate students in a public health related area of study. The conference will offer an opportunity for students to hear presentations by leaders in Georgia’s public health field and by students attending Georgia colleges.
The Conference is free to students, but preregistration is required. The registration deadline is Friday, March 27, 2009.
The Board is soliciting abstracts from students for oral presentations or poster sessions at the conference. Abstract submission deadline is Friday, February 13, 2009. Students whose abstracts are selected for presentation will be reimbursed for mileage to and from the meeting according to state travel regulations. They will also receive a one year free student membership in GPHA.

From I-75 North-bound (from Florida)
• From I-75 North, take Exit #163 (Mercer University Drive)
• Turn right at the top of the ramp onto Mercer University Drive
• Turn left at the second traffic light onto College Street
• Turn right at the stop sign onto Prince Street
• Turn left at the end of the street into the MUSM parking lot and enter through the glass doors at the far end of the building
From I-75 South-bound (from Atlanta)
• From I-75 South, take Exit #163 (Mercer University Drive)
• Turn left at the top of the ramp onto Mercer University Drive and cross over I-75
• Turn left at the second traffic light onto College Street
• Turn right at the stop sign onto Prince Street
• Turn left at the end of the street into the MUSM parking lot and enter through the glass doors at the far end of the building
From I-16 West-bound into Macon (from Savannah)
• Take I-16 West until it merges with I-75 South
