2021 General Assembly is in Session

The first session of the 2021-2022 term of the Georgia General Assembly was convened on January 11, 2021, amid COVID pandemic restrictions and new health requirements.

State officials, legislators and staff are being tested for the Coronavirus twice each week, on Mondays and Thursdays. For the safety of legislators and the public, access to the corridors in front of the House and Senate are blocked from the public, and seating in committee rooms will be severely restricted. However, committee meetings will be live-streamed on the General Assembly’s website at www.legis.ga.gov.

Our GPHA Legislative Liaison Scott Maxwell is providing weekly reports on legislative activity related to public health. You can view the reports each week on our Health Policy page.
