Annual Meeting & Conference Policies/Disclaimer

GPHA, its contractors and attending news media may be photographing, videotaping, audio-taping or webcasting sessions and events at the Annual Meeting and Conference. By attending the GPHA Annual Meeting and Conference, attendees acknowledge these activities and agree to allow their image to be used by GPHA in association publications, on GPHA’s web site and in marketing and promotional materials. Such images may also be shared with the media. Attendees at the Annual Meeting and Conference waive all claims against GPHA for any liability resulting from these uses.

Only officially contracted GPHA vendors and GPHA approved working journalists will be permitted to photograph, video, and/or audio-tape plenary sessions, workshops, section meetings and awards program (including oral, roundtable and posters). Individuals recording with personal video/audio equipment or other recording devices (e.g., cell phones, digital or film cameras or tape recorders) without prior permission from GPHA may be asked to cease recording or utilizing such devices immediately.

Annual Meeting and Conference attendees and participants agree to conduct themselves in a manner appropriate for a gathering of health professionals. Inappropriate behavior or unauthorized demonstrations or gatherings creating a disturbance, disruption or safety hazard are prohibited inside any meeting facilities or the exhibit hall.

Participants found disturbing any part of the GPHA Annual Meeting and Conference (including plenary sessions, workshops, section meetings and awards program) conducting themselves in a manner unbecoming a public health professional, or violating these policies will be asked to leave the session or facility and may be prohibited from further Annual Meeting and Conference attendance.

GPHA accepts American Express, VISA, MasterCard and Discover as well as checks drawn on U.S. banks in U.S. dollars. GPHA may charge the correct amount if different from the total payment.

GPHA’s Annual Meeting Cancellation, Refund, Substitution policy:
A full refund of the registration fee shall be made if cancellation occurs at least thirty (30) days prior to the Annual Meeting. No refunds will be made if cancellation occurs within thirty (30) days of the Annual Meeting. Substitutions shall be allowed at any time.

If you have reserved a room, check with the hotel or look on your reservation communication for cancellation policy.

Unless registrant opts out on the registration form, registrant contact information will be released to certain third parties including continuing education accrediting agencies, sponsors and exhibitors.

It is the policy of the Georgia Public Health Association that all activities and events sponsored or supported by this organization will always be considered a gun-free environment for members, non-members and visitors, regardless of the establishment’s policy in which the event is conducted.
