Job Opportunity: State Director of the Office of Vital Records


The Georgia Department of Public Health is currently accepting applications for Director of the Office of Vital Records.

Reporting to the Deputy Chief of Staff, this position serves as the State Registrar of Vital Statistics for the State of Georgia and manages the Central Office of Vital Records and is responsible for providing statewide vision, leadership, direction and strategic planning for Georgia’s vital records function.

The position provides oversight to the county registrars, central office supervisors and staff to ensure the overall integrity and effective management of recording, amending, issuing and statistical reporting of Georgia’s vital events (e.g., birth, deaths, fetal death, ITOPs, marriage and divorce).
